Road Sawing



Description
Road sawing refers to large self driven concrete saws that are fitted with diamond blades. They are used to cut straight accurate line faster and deeper than any other saw fitted with a blade.

Application
Road saws are used to cut large areas of concrete floors and bitumen roads. Applications may include:
  • Removal of existing concrete slab
  • Trenching for new pipe or cables in existing floor
  • Cutting out of old kerbs and gutters
  • Expansion cutting for large areas of concrete
Depth
There are two types of concrete saws:
  • Diesel Saw
    • Cut to a maximum depth of 400mm deep
  • Electrical Saw
    • Cut to a maximum depth of 250mm deep
Types Of Road Saws
  • Diesel saws
    • Used for all works where ventilation is not an issue
  • Electrical
    • Used for all cutting works inside buildings, where ventilation is not adequate. 32 amps, 3 phase power is required and a 50amp motor rated circuit breaker must be installed
